Objective:
SiWeGo - App for a new mobility model for the transport of objects

Business goals:

SiWeGO: start-up aimed at changing the way we send and transport objects in Italy and abroad.

Description of the project:

Today, there is a wide pool of mobile applications covering all types of functionality. In particular, apps to improve our mobility are under rapid growth.

A notable example is SiWeGO, an emerging start-up that focuses on parcel transport and the reduction of road traffic. The driver community using the app (professional and non-professional) gains both travel optimization and monetary rewards. Earnings are made by respecting the environment.

The concept behind the app is transportation. The user decides to send parcels or to transport those of other people. Requests via the app are viewed by the SiWeGO community and are processed quickly at low cost. Users will then see all transportation options that are compatible with their route, thanks to an accurate matching algorithm, before then negotiating the cost of the service.
The secure verification system ensures that the goods will arrive at their destination on time. The model is win-win: fast, low-cost shipments on the one hand, travel optimization and financial rewards on the other.

The architecture is hosted on the AWS cloud in Docker containers which are able to handle thousands of daily requests in a scalable way.

Optimization using the mobile app has allowed the voluntary tracking of parcels with very low expenditure on resources.
